                  A Record of Leadership:

“As your State Representative I have worked tirelessly to create jobs by cutting taxes and removing burdensome regulations on small businesses. As a father of five, one of my man objectives is to ensure that all students have access to a quality education.  We have passed historic education reforms and increased our investment in our students and educators. We have also worked hard to live within our means. This is something that Washington DC needs to learn how to do that is why I worked with other members of the State House to pass a measure to require Congress to adhere to a constitutional debt limit."

“I am 100% Pro Life.  As your state representative, I have not only be a consistent vote to protect innocent human life, but have been an active and outspoken leader on this issue.  That’s because, to me, being pro-life is not just a political position, being pro-life is the passion of my heart and the conviction of my conscience. I am honored to have the endorsement of the Mississippi Right to Life Pac”

Second Amendment:

“I am 100% in favor of the individual citizen’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.  Our Founders had personally experienced government tyranny.  They provided a means for the American people to protect themselves from the possibility of government oppression, as well as a means of self-defense. I will be a leader in upholding the right to keep and bear arms.

This past session, we reduced the application and renewal fee for concealed carry licenses. In addition, we eliminated the fee for Active duty members of the Armed Forces and service-connected disabled veterans. I am honored to be endorsed by the National Rifle Association.”

Jobs and Economy:

Small business is the economic engine of America. As your representative I voted to cut taxes to attract more jobs and opportunity leading to a 41% drop in unemployment. We need to work hard to make Mississippi the number one place to do business. We must also take care of our veterans who looking for jobs. I voted to give employers a tax credit for hiring honorably discharged veterans who served our country on or after 9/11/01. This credit is extended to those former service men and women who have been unemployed for six consecutive months or longer. As business in MS continues to grow, and unemployment drops, we must remember that the men and women that have fought for us to have these opportunities need jobs after their service careers are over.

We must eliminate Common Core from the state of Mississippi while still encouraging higher standards that teach critical thinking and not just multiple choice. I have consistently voted to eliminate common core from our public education system. Bureaucrats in Washington DC should not mandate how we educate our children here in Mississippi. This past session we voted to increase Mississippi's K-12 education budget by nearly 300 million dollars. We must fund the education of our future generation! Also this session, we voted to increase funding of the teacher supply fund by 75%.  This puts extra resources in the classrooms and keeps money in teacher’s pockets. We must continue to reward teachers who are working hard to educate our children.
