Welfare and Medicaid Fraud cost Mississippi taxpayers millions of dollars each year and are depriving the needy -- children with special needs, for instance -- of services. It is on behalf of these children and other needy Mississippians that I have introduced the HOPE Act (HB 952). This bill to Restore Hope, Opportunity and Prosperity for Everyone would make sure that people enrolling in our state welfare programs are truly eligible for the assistance they are receiving.
